How to be Happy When the Rain sets in.


  1. Remember that you are loved.  In the end, all that matters is LOVE.  Let it guide you through life. Love yourself. Love your family. Love your friends. Love your neighbors. Love the trees. Love the birds… And they will Love you back
  2. Friends will come and go but family is forever.  Family will never turn their back on you.  No matter what happened.  No matter what mistakes you have made, family will be there for you.  Some friends are family too.  It is far better to have 2 or 3 real friends than 100 fake ones.  Choose your friends carefully.
  3. Be thankful for what you have.  Instead of feeling bad and wishing for the things you don’t have. List all the things that you do. Focus on that.  Energy goes where attention flows. You are blessed in many ways and if you look around and think about it you will realize that lives blessings are all around you, even in your darkest hour.
  4. It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. There is no sense complaining about a situation unless you plan on doing something to make the situation better.
  5. After all is said and done, you are the master of your destiny.  You are the one who will decide where your life will go, so choose wisely.  Bad choices always have consequences.
  6. Don’t give up! You are almost there.  Don’t throw in the towel just because it got too hard.
  7. Failure is part of the process. If you fail at something, learn from your mistakes, correct them and then try again.
  8. If you’re failing to plan, you are planning to fail.  Happy successful people always set goals for themselves and then strive to achieve them.
  9. Rainbows only appear after the rain.  Today may be raining a storming but the sun will come out again. Take it one day at a time.
  10. Just be the best you that you can be each and every day.  Ask yourself, “what would future me think of this decision”? Give your 100% todays 100% might be different than yesterdays, you might be sick, or hurt or sad.  That’s ok. Whatever your 100% is for today, give it.
  11. Be kind and helpful to others.  Pay it forward; it comes back to you 10 fold.   Doing good makes you feel good.
  12. Exercise you mind body and spirit.  Whatever that means to you. Read, dance, jog, meditate and/or hike.
  13. Do what makes you happy.  Sing. Paint. Chant.  Watch Movies. Make time for yourself to do the things that you love.
  14. Be quiet.  Listen to your own inner guidance, your conscience, your higher self. You will find all of lives answers within you if you just listen long enough.
  15. Ask for help. You don’t have to go it alone.  You have people who care who help you, family, friends, teachers, doctors. etc.
  16. Do 2 good things for yourself that you don’t want to do each day.  Chores, homework, exercise, eat healthy, research, whatever.
  17.  “Get the dead out of your branches”….You can’t be truly present and happy with your life if you are haunted by your past.   The past repeats itself everyday of your life within your mind if you don’t acknowledge it and accept it. What you resist persists. What you fight, you strengthen.  Denial is hell, Samsara.  Living in denial is like wandering aimlessly in the desert. Embrace your reality.
  18. All magic comes with a price.  There is no panacea. No cure all.  If it seems too good to be true…it probably is.
